What we build

Real systems, shipped.

AIS exists to build. Projects start as a scoped business problem, get a coherent design, and end as something people actually use, often running on the society's own infrastructure.

Live now

Our projects.

Six shipped systems, all running on the society's own infrastructure, and more in the pipeline.

Baylor Directory

Ask a question, get Baylor's exact words with a citation.

A public, unofficial "better directory" for Baylor: 12,000+ captured Baylor pages and 182,000+ verbatim passages behind a search that ranks but never rewrites, plus verified tasks, key dates, and evidence screenshots. Currently in review with the business school before it reopens to the public.

HUMANS vs MACHINES

The AIS arcade game for Late Night at Baylor.

Scan the QR, spot the AI on your phone, and every player shows up as a pixel avatar on the big-screen battlefield. 71 real-vs-generated image pairs and 77 text pairs, live streaks, showdowns, and a boss fight. Built for the Aug 28 Late Night booth.

Cookie Clicker

A self-hosted, save-syncing build of Orteil's classic, with a live society leaderboard.

Our first public project: a Bun + Hono server streams the offline game and adds per-user, server-side save sync plus a top-10 leaderboard across cookies baked, CpS, and buildings. Cloudflare Access gates it to any @baylor.edu address.

AIDE

The AI Delegation Engine: task tracking for the board, in Discord.

A Discord bot plus a web dashboard that tracks tasks, reminders, and club operations for officers, with Gemini-assisted workflows, an executive dashboard, and hourly state backups. Signed in with @baylor.edu and linked to the roster through Discord.

AI Outreach Bot

Prospect research and personalized outreach for partners, sponsors, and speakers.

Researches a prospect, enriches the record, and drafts a personalized email, with a cross-officer collision guard and a review gate before anything sends. Built and tested; waiting on its subdomain.

The lifecycle

How a project comes together.

Each step maps to a pillar, so the handoffs are clean and the work compounds instead of reinventing itself.

  1. ScopeAI Strategy frames a real business problem into a use case worth building and validates it's worth the team's time.
  2. DesignAI Architecture sets the approach (tools, systems, and patterns) so the build stays coherent and reusable across projects.
  3. BuildAI Engineering implements: code, APIs, deployments, and standards. Members pair in and level up as the system takes shape.
  4. Ship & showThe system goes live on society infrastructure and gets demoed at meetings, to partners, and at the end-of-semester showcase.

The kinds of work

What members build.

Internal tools

Systems that make the society itself run better: automations, dashboards, and the infrastructure projects depend on.

Client & consulting

Scoped AI problems brought in by partner companies: real stakes, real users, real feedback.

In the pipeline

Member ventures

Members build their own products on the society's stack: startups, portfolios, and side projects with room to grow.

Learning projects

Foundation Series builds where new members ship something small end-to-end and learn the whole pipeline.

Got an idea?

Build it with us.

Whether you're a member with a concept or a company with a problem, AIS turns ideas into working systems.
