How we're organized
AIS is built on three interlocking pillars. Each is owned by peer officers, and the best work happens where they overlap.
We bring people in and bring them up to speed: recruiting a committed cohort and running a beginner-to-advanced path so anyone can contribute.
The build engine. Strategy frames the problem, Architecture keeps the work coherent and reusable, and Engineering turns designs into shipping systems.
We carry the work outward: speakers and partners on one side, a clear public presence on the other, so AIS is felt across campus and industry.
Featured project
A self-hosted, save-syncing build of Orteil's classic, with a live society leaderboard.
Our first public project runs entirely on the society's own infrastructure: a Bun + Hono server streams Orteil's offline game and adds per-user, server-side save sync plus a top-10 leaderboard across cookies baked, CpS, and buildings. Cloudflare Access gates it to the Baylor community. It's small on purpose: a complete, shipped system that shows what the stack can do.
